FAQs

Here are some of the Frequently asked queries about Skin Care Products. You can check more details from below.

What are the different skin types? There are five different skin types—normal, dry, oily, combination, and sensitive. It’s important to know what skin type you have so you can choose the best products to maintain healthy, glowing skin. You can learn how to determine your skin type by reading our “What is my skin type?” post.

How much skincare is too much? The perfect combination of products should leave your skin feeling soft, hydrated, and plump. Your skin should not feel dry, tight or irritated. We recommend keeping your skincare routine simple and slowly adding additional products without overdoing it. A simple routine we love is a good mild cleanser, targeting serum and a moisture boosting cream. Don’t forget about your lips, they need care too!

How long before I start to see results? Every skin is different so results can vary. Factors such as consistency, product selection, and skin type can all contribute to the success of results. For our Brightening Face Mask, we recommend using 2-3 times a week for at least a month for best results. For our lip masks, while some may notice a difference the very first night, we recommend using nightly for at least a week.

Why do I need a lip mask? Your lips require care just as much as your face. Preventative steps taken will keep your lips looking younger in the long run. Daily products such as lipstick, lip balm, and lip gloss sometimes contain ingredients that are drying so proper moisture is needed to combat the dryness. By using lip masks full of anti-aging and moisturizing ingredients, your lips will thank you for it in the long- run.

Will I experience any tingling or redness from using glycolic based products? While our Brightening Face Mask is gentle, you may experience some tingling and a little redness but this will subside shortly after the mask is rinsed off. Please note that it's perfectly normal to experience a temporary tingling sensation or redness shortly after a glycolic acid-based product has been applied on skin. If these symptoms persist, rinse your face and space out your use of the product.

How should I test adding a new skin care product? As with any new skin care product, it's important to do a patch test at least 24 hours prior to using the mask to avoid negative reactions or allergies. We recommend performing a patch test before incorporating a new product into your routine.

To perform a patch test for the lip masks: Apply a small amount of the product onto a clean area of skin on the inside of your wrist and keep the area dry for 24 hours. If any redness, burning, itching, blistering or irritation is observed at any time throughout the test, do not use the lip mask.

To perform a patch test for the face mask: Apply a small amount of the product onto a clean area of skin on the inside of your wrist and keep the area dry for 10-20 minutes. If any redness, burning, itching, blistering or irritation is observed at any time throughout the test, do not use the face mask.

To perform a patch test for the face moisturizer: Apply a small amount of the product onto a clean area of skin on the inside of your wrist and keep the area dry for 24 hours. If any redness, burning, itching, blistering or irritation is observed at any time throughout the test, do not use the moisturizer.
